As a result of legislation changes effective December 1, 2021, AMHSA has updated our Health and safety Committee and Health and Safety Representative training! 

HSC and HSR Training

Health and Safety Committee (HSC) and Health and Safety Representative (HSR) Enhanced – 4 hrs

This revised course includes fully updated content to reflect new legislation and exceeds the requirements for mandatory training for all HSC members and HSRs. This 4 hour class is an excellent resource for users who want to know more than just the basics. This course has been reduced in run-time from 6 hours to 4 hours and includes opportunities for classroom discussion.

Health and Safety Committee (HSC) and Health and Safety Representative (HSR) Foundations – 2.5 hrs 

The legislation governing Health and Safety Committees (HSC) and Health and Safety Representatives (HSR) has changed substantially with the OH&S Act, Regulations and Code changes coming into effect December 1, 2021. This revised course includes fully updated content to reflect new legislation and meet the mandatory minimum training requirements and has been reduced in run-time from 6 hours to 2.5 hours (including Q&A).

Joint Health and Safety Committees and Health and Safety Representatives: Foundations (eLearning) - 2.5 hrs

This Joint Health and Safety Committees (HSC) and Health and Safety Committees (HSR): Foundations course meets the minimum mandatory training requirements that all HSC members and HSRs must receive, including: describing the duties of HSCs and HSRs and how to meet them; the obligations of work site parties; and the rights of workers. In addition to this minimum training, this course also introduces the employer’s obligations for establishing and supporting the HSC or HSR.
