Every town, village, municipal district, county, city and specialized municipality in Alberta is automatically a member of AMHSA. Members receive training at discounted rates, and AMHSA will act as their Certifying Partner through the Partnerships in Injury Reduction (PIR) program. A levy is taken from member municipalities’ WCB premiums to support the Association.

If you have questions about membership, please call us at 1-800-267-9764 or email [email protected].

Although our primary mandate is to assist municipalities in their workplace health and safety efforts, other employers may join as associate members for an annual fee of $500 + GST.

Benefits of being an associate member are:

  • Access to AMHSA online/classroom training and certificate programs at member rates;
  • Free access to select AMHSA webinars and workshops;
  • Invitations to special events;
  • Free learning management system portal;
  • Utilize AMHSA as Certifying Partner for associate members through the PIR program;
  • Receive our monthly newsletters and updates promoting new initiatives, open course registrations, and more; and
  • Through AMHSA’s subscription learning services, gain unlimited access to more than 90 online training courses starting at $1.50 per month per user.

Members will have access to all AMHSA services, programs, and resources for one (1) calendar year from the date of joining.

If you are interested in becoming an associate member or renewing your existing membership, complete this form and email to [email protected], attn: Stacey.
