Ask an Ergonomist (Ergonomics Coaching Webinar)

Have you ever wondered how an Ergonomist becomes an Ergonomist?

This coaching session will provide an overview of the background training of a Professional Ergonomist, and how they can support your Health & Safety Management program. The talk will illustrate how a Professional Ergonomist can provide support to programs, facilities & fleet management remotely, and there will be time to bring any questions or problems you may want to ask the Ergonomist.

If you have questions, you can send them ahead of time to rob@amhsa.net.

AMHSA is currently scheduling the remaining topics for 2022’s Ergonomics Coaching sessions. If you have previous topics you’d like to revisit, or new ones you’d like to see please let rob@amhsa.net know.

All-Hazards Incident Management Team Academy (AHIMT)

Date: February 14, 2022 - February 18, 2022

NAIT’s Centre for Applied Disaster and Emergency Management (CADEM) is excited to announce the dates for the 2022 All-Hazards Incident Management Team (AHIMT) Academy

The Academy will bring together Emergency Management professionals from across Canada representing the public and private sectors to engage in a week-long training event with two distinct aims:

  1. To build capacity to support Type 3 and larger incident response; and
  2. To provide opportunities for networking and best-practice sharing

Dates: February 14 to 18, 2022
Location: NAIT campus in Edmonton, Alberta.
Pre-Requisites:

  • ICS 100, ICS 200, ICS 300
  • AEMA’s Basic Emergency Management is recommended for participants.
  • Candidates must have endorsement from their DEM, AHJ, and/or supervisor to attend.

You must complete ICS 300 to attend the Academy. There must be six months between your completion of ICS 200 and the start of ICS 300. We have ICS 300 available for registration now, so you can complete it in time for the 2022 Academy:

ICS I-300, Intermediate ICS, ICS for Expanding Incidents
 
All CADEM ICS offerings adhere to ICS Canada standards and principles. Where ICS Canada curriculum is not available, FEMA standards are adopted and followed.
