Date: Tuesday Jan 26, 2021 - Wednesday Jan 27, 2021
Time: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
Location: Online
The purpose of his 2-day course is to prepare the participant to design, implement and measure a Psychological Health and Safety Management System (PHSMS) that will reduce mental harm and promote mental health in the workplace.
Psychological health and safety requires a comprehensive and holistic system as well as the ability to effectively influence leader and employee conduct to create a safe and healthy environment in which to thrive.
PHS 101 is approved for 12 CPD hours through CPHR-Alberta.
Certificate Program
Building on the successful delivery of the two-day Psychological Health and Safety Facilitator Certification program that was offered this past June, Alberta Health and Safety Association (AMHSA) and its strategic partner, Howatt HR, will be releasing five additional course offerings starting on November 23. These five new courses will enable participants to work towards a Psychological Health and Safety Facilitator’s Certificate.
AMHSA is also offering the opportunity for participants to register for selected individual courses that will result in a certificate of training upon completion for each course taken.
The goal of this program is to support organizations in developing practical workplace mental health strategies and the mental health competencies of their operational leaders. Upon completion of all courses, participants will be certified as a Psychological Health and Safety Facilitator. All courses may be completed within 24 months.
