Doug Grant

I’ve had experience in the private sector in residential and commercial construction plus some oil and gas. However, my passion is with municipalities. I’ve worked in various branches for the City of Edmonton: Water and Sanitation, Parks and Recreation, Roadways and finishing off with Edmonton Fire Rescue Services where I retired as a Station Captain. I’ve provided education and training for many years including Fire, First Nations, Métis Settlements, Alberta Whitewater Association, Alberta Construction Safety Association, Edmonton Public School Board and the University of Alberta Hospital. My wife, Shelagh and I enjoy most of the higher risk mountain sports and especially love volunteering at Rivercross Ranch. We help provide equine therapy for seniors and youth at risk. I’ve seen too many lives destroyed needlessly. It’s a pleasure and honour to be on the proactive side instead of responding to 911 calls. No families left behind...
