Certification Maintenance Program for CRSPs

The Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP) is the certifying body for occupational health, safety and environmental professionals in Canada. They are a public  interest, not-for-profit association with a membership dedicated to the principles of health and safety as a profession in Canada.

The CRSP designation is a widely accepted form of recognition by industry and government in Canada. To ensure that the highest Standards of Excellence and Professionalism are maintained at all times, CRSPs are required to maintain their designation by participating in the Board’s mandatory Certification Maintenance Program. Certification Maintenance (CM) points are accrued by Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (CRSPs) who are certified by the BCRSP.

For more information on the program please visit the BCRSP website.

As of January 1, 2014, the BCRSP no longer issues pre-approval for courses – the CRSP is now required to submit applications for maintenance points. CM points have previously been awarded for many AMHSA courses and may continue to be eligible. See the BCRSP website at www.bcrsp.ca for CM point criteria and more information.
