Course Equivalency Policy

AMHSA will consider granting equivalencies for some courses on a case by case basis. There will be a small administrative fee for processing course equivalency requests.

If a member has attended training from a recognized agency such as another Certifying Partner in the Partnerships in Injury Reduction (PIR) program, or the University of Alberta or University of Calgary or other technical institute, it may qualify for AMHSA course equivalency. The training must have taken place within in the last 3 years (from the date of the equivalency application). There is a charge of $50 per course application. This is non-refundable and will be applied regardless of the success of the application process.

Applications must include:

  1. Completed Course Equivalency Application Form
  2. Copy of proof of training (certificate or wallet card)
