Supervisor’s Role

Health and safety management systems are tools to proactively identify and control health and safety hazards to workers. Effective systems require the leadership of management and the involvement of workers. Too often health and safety is delegated to a coordinator, who doesn’t have the responsibility for the department or the authority to make change. In this course we examine not only why a health and safety management system is needed, but why leadership is so critical. Course includes classroom instruction, group discussions ,exercises, and an exam. Recommended for managers, supervisors and joint health and safety committee members.
