Ergonomics Coaching: Dynamic Warm-Up

Date: Thursday Oct 21, 2021
Time: 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm
Location: Online via Zoom

While the dynamic warm-up is targeted to field workers, office employees would also benefit from this interactive presentation.

This session begins with the importance of warming up the muscles before engaging in heavy work, along with tips on how to roll out the program, then a variety of dynamic movements are demonstrated to increase heart rate and muscle temperature to prepare the body for work. Participants are encouraged to complete the dynamic movements along with the facilitator.

During our Ergonomics Coaching Workshops, attendees may bring their questions and challenges and have them answered live by Annie Barnwell and Donald MacDonald of EWI Works who have spent considerable time developing programs for municipalities and others.

These workshops are free of charge, non-recorded, and open to the public.

This free bi-weekly Mental Health Webinar Series (Tactics for Maintaining Mental Fitness During the COVID-19 Pandemic) has been created in partnership with the Alberta Municipal Health and Safety Association (AMHSA), Alberta Urban Municipalities Association (AUMA), and Howatt HR. These weekly discussions will examine the key behaviours organizations and individuals can do to maintain Mental Fitness during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Our panelists include Dr.Bill Howatt and Jesse Adams of Howatt HR. Each webinar will be hosted bi-weekly at the same day and time and provide a 15-minute overview of a key micro-skill that you can do to support charging your mental health battery. After the 15-minute micro-skill review, there will be a 10-15 min Q and A for you to ask your own mental fitness questions.

AARFP Conference & Trade Show

The Alberta Association of Recreation Facility Personnel (AARFP) is delighted to host the 45th Annual Conference and Trade Show, The Bridge To Recreation.

Recreation is more important than ever, the role it plays in the lives of individuals, communities and its ability to bridge the differences between people, cultures and communities. What better way than to build upon the current skills and tools you have, then through a conference of like-minded individuals who are also looking to connect and learn.
